Another national scourge, the Vaping Epidemic, threatens the health of our students. The CDC, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), state and local health departments, and other clinical and public health partners have investigated the national outbreak of e-cigarette, or vaping, product use-associated lung injury. E-cigarette, or vaping, products, containing nicotine or THC, should never be used by youths, young adults, or women who are pregnant.

This Federal research underscores that what started as an alternative to cigarettes, now lends credence to the notion that, “The cure can sometimes be worse than the cause.” In addition, the impact of a compromised immune system and the hallmark respiratory system failure of the CoVid-19 Virus, would leave many students highly susceptible to poor health.  It is hard to teach a child with failing health. America’s students deserve a chance at life. They need and deserve the support of their educational family.

Your teachers are desperate to find a way to play smart. Please consider supporting the efforts of Schools Against Vaping.  The class action lawsuit offered could provide financial support for your district to fight the Vaping Epidemic that is consuming so many of your campuses.

Whether you are currently in session, engaged in distance learning or sheltering in place, Best Wishes on the school term in progress and remember the words of the political analyst George Will, who famously quipped, “If it weren’t for teachers, we’d be even dumber than we really are!”  Be safe.
